Diocesan
Administration: Secondary Education DepartmentIntroduction
The Secondary Education Department supports all aspects of the programming and operation of our nine Diocesan High Schools. Through regular meetings with the Presidents/Principals, Directors of Spiritual Activities, Directors of Studies, and Curriculum Area Chairpersons, this office serves as the liaison between the Superintendent and the school communities. Each school site is visited several times each year and communication between each high school and its supporting elementary schools is facilitated. The Secondary Department coordinates the annual review of the principals and ensures the continuity and appropriateness of each school's course of study. The goal of the Secondary Education Department is to provide, through partnership with the schools, a spiritually, academically, emotionally, and socially valuable high school experience for the young people of the Diocese of Allentown.
