To give the faithful another source of Catholic news and information, the Diocese of Allentown has become an affiliate member of the Catholic Faith Network, which provides a wide variety of free Catholic television programming on streaming services, the web, and through its app.
The network provides TV coverage of all Papal Audiences, various daily Masses, regular Rosaries, and Stations of the Cross, in addition to a live daily news show. There also are shows featuring cooking, health, and even rock music – all with an uplifting Catholic focus.
It’s all available free, both live and on-demand, at www.CFNtv.org, or by downloading the Catholic Faith Network app. The network also can be seen on Amazon FireTV, AdroidTV, AppleTV, Roku, and Samsung SmartTV.
The network also provides Spanish-language content, including Sunday Spanish Mass from St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York, as well as Spanish-language Rosaries, at www.cfnespanol.org.
The network began in 1969 as an educational television station in Rockville Centre, Long Island, N.Y. Now, it is attempting to expand its audience nationwide through its no-cost affiliation with the Diocese of Allentown, as well as affiliations with dioceses and archdioceses around the country. Other affiliates include the Archdioceses of Philadelphia, New York, and Los Angeles and the Dioceses of Erie, Cleveland, and Wilmington.
