The AD Times published today contains an 8-page special supplement about the events and blessings of the recently concluded Year of the Real Presence.
“The Year brought much grace upon the Diocese and its people,” said Bishop Alfred Schlert.
It was a time to celebrate the Real Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist – Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity – and to celebrate the faithful once again being really present at Mass as the pandemic eased.
It also was a time to focus on increased opportunities for Adoration and Confession. Schedules of parish Adoration and Confession times are published at www.YearOfRealPresence.org
The special insert contains dozens of photos of events and celebrations during the Year of the Real Presence at parishes around the Diocese.
The insert also contains coverage of the Solemn Mass and Eucharistic Procession that closed out the Year on June 19 at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish in Bally. Bishop Schlert’s homily from that day is reprinted in its entirety.
In addition, there is a detailed timeline of events for the entire year, and a copy of the Decree in which the Bishop proclaimed the Year, which coincided with the 60th Anniversary of the founding of the Diocese of Allentown.
