Cooks With Collars is Back, and Wait Until You See What Our Priests are Making

Priests in the Diocese of Allentown have turned up the heat another notch in this year’s videos for Cooks with Collars, the on-line cooking competition that raises funds for parishes and for Catholic Charities.

Watch the videos at www.CooksWithCollars.com then vote for your favorite priests and their kitchen collaborators by making a donation with a simple click of a button on the site.

All voting dollars go directly to parishes, while donations from program sponsors, which include St. Luke’s University Health Network, Bishop Photo, The Topper Foundation, and Anthony and Evelyn Carfagno, provide support for Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Allentown.

For 2023, more than forty cooks have shared video cooking demonstrations. They feature a wide variety of dishes including Risotto Milanese, Butter Cream Candy, Plantains and Prime Rib, Pasta alla Norcina, Louisiana Chicken, Lithuanian Meatballs, Cotton Candy, Empanadas, Spaetzle, and a whole lot more.

Some are cooked in rectories, others in parish kitchens around the five counties of the Diocese, and a couple of priests shot their videos abroad, one in Romania and the other in Italy. Additionally, several videos are done in Spanish, reflecting the growing Hispanic populations of various parishes.

The deadline to vote is Monday, Feb. 20. Cooks With Collars Champions will be announced on Tuesday, Feb. 21 – Fastnacht Day.

The videos are mouth-watering fun for the entire family. Cast your votes today.
