This fall, Catholic men in the Diocese of Allentown have two significant opportunities to deepen their faith, build community, and renew their spiritual lives through events designed specifically for them. These events, scheduled for Saturdays, Sept. 7 and Oct. 19, aim to inspire and unite Catholic men in their faith journeys.
Hispanic Men’s Conference
On Sept. 7 St. Mary, Hamburg will host the Hispanic Men’s Conference, a full-day event from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., tailored for Hispanic men. Conducted entirely in Spanish, this conference offers a unique space for men to come together in their native language, fostering a strong sense of community and shared purpose.
The day will begin with an 8 a.m. Mass celebrated by Bishop Alfred Schlert, setting a spiritual tone for the day. The conference will feature three speakers: Father Eder Estrada, FM, Pastor of St. Joseph Parish in Coatesville; Father Juan Eduardo Rodriguez, Parochial Administrator of Saint Margaret of Scotland Parish in Reading; and Father Angel Garcia, Pastor of St. Paul Parish in Allentown, each bringing valuable insights and experiences to help guide men in their spiritual journeys.
This event goes beyond just listening to talks; it emphasizes building a brotherhood among men who share a common faith and cultural heritage. The day provides an opportunity to recharge spiritually, reflect on the challenges of modern life, and find strength in the Sacraments and in each other. The focus on fraternity and faith ensures that participants will leave with a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper connection to their Catholic identity.
We anticipate a strong turnout, so please register early to ensure your place. We invite you to register online at https://allentowndiocese.flocknote.com/signup/169404.
Men’s Conference in English
On Oct. 19 St. Joseph the Worker, Orefield will host the ‘Spirit of Jesus, Renew Us” conference. This annual event, scheduled earlier than last year, offers a day of spiritual renewal and enrichment, conducted in English.
This year’s conference features two nationally renowned speakers: Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers and Father Wade Menezes. Both are known for their dynamic preaching and deep theological insights, offering participants valuable spiritual tools and inspiration to live their Catholic faith more fully.
The event will run from morning until late afternoon, making it accessible for attendees from various parishes. The $35 regular admission fee includes lunch, with an Early Bird rate of $25 available until Sept. 9. Students can attend for just $15, encouraging younger men to engage with their faith.
This conference is more than just a one-day event; it’s an invitation to revive your spiritual life, embrace the mission of the Catholic Church, and grow closer to Jesus through the Sacraments and community. Whether attending with family or friends, the day promises something for everyone, ensuring that all leave with a renewed spirit and a stronger commitment to their faith.

These two events, while different in focus, share a common goal: to strengthen the bonds of community among attendees, providing a valuable opportunity to reflect on living, celebrating, and proclaiming their Catholic faith with conviction and joy within their families, parishes, and society at large.
They are exceptional opportunities to step away from the hustle and bustle of life and immerse yourself in a day dedicated to your spiritual growth. We look forward to seeing you there and to walking this path of spiritual growth together.
