Educators from every school in the Diocese of Allentown will be gathered at the 2017 Education Convention on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Bethlehem Catholic High School. The day will begin with celebration of the Liturgy at 9:00 A.M. in the Bethlehem Catholic High School auditorium. The Most Reverend Alfred A. Schlert, newly installed Bishop of Allentown, will be the celebrant.
Nearly 1,000 educators will hear from the opening keynote speaker, Father Joseph Corpora, who will share his thoughts about providing an atmosphere of welcome for a new generation of parents and students.
Over lunch, educators will be able to walk through a vendor exhibit of more than 50 businesses that serve and support Catholic schools in the Diocese. Cat County 96 radio personality Sam Malone, a graduate of Notre Dame High School, will host a live remote broadcast from the vendor exhibit.
Our closing keynote speaker, Dr. Brian Collier, will be share a presentation called “The Native and the Immigrant: A History of the past and a look towards the future of American Catholic Education.
