In a letter emailed to the parents of the 71 students enrolled in grades K-8 at Our Lady Help of Christians School in East Allentown, the administrator of the parish of which the school is a part, announced it will close at the end of the current school year in June.

Author and nationally known speaker Matt Fradd will offer two presentations, open to all, at DeSales University in Center Valley on February 6 and 7. 

In a letter from Diocese of Allentown Bishop Alfred Schlert sent to 83,000 homes, in radio commercials, social media posts and on the Diocesan website, Catholics who may not be attending Mass regularly at this time are being invited “home for Christmas.”

For the 15th time since the inception of national diocesan audits 15 years ago, the Diocese of Allentown has been found “compliant” with the Charter for Protection of Children and Young People, adopted by the Bishops of the United States in 2002.

More than 500 people are expected to attend the sixth annual Men’s Conference sponsored by the Diocese of Allentown’s Commission for Men and Stewardship a Mission of Faith. The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 4th from 9 AM to 5 PM at DeSales University in Center Valley.

Educators from every school in the Diocese of Allentown will be gathered at the 2017 Education Convention on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Bethlehem Catholic High School.

For the second time in three weeks, a special collection will be taken up in the parishes of the Diocese of Allentown to benefit victims of a hurricane, this time those in Florida and the Caribbean impacted by Hurricane Irma.

Two couples married for 70 years will be honored at the Diocese of Allentown’s 38th annual Anniversary celebration on Sunday, September 17.
