CHILD PROTECTION CATECHESIS PROGRAM
The Diocese has implemented a Child Protection Catechesis Program to educate children in diocesan elementary schools and CCD/PREP classes. Each year, children are taught how to identify and thwart the lures that are used to lead youngsters from a safe environment into one where they are vulnerable to exploitation and other crimes. The program is designed to be age appropriate. Principles are rooted strongly in the Catholic Faith with spiritual experiences of prayer and reflection included.
