Date Night for Couples Practicing NFP

On December 2nd from 6:30-8:30pm, join the NFP task force and other married couples at Hops at the Paddock for an evening of community and discussion. Monthly Mass for Homeschooling Families

The anticipated Mother of Hope Hybrid Academy invites families to a monthly Mass and social at St. Ursula's RC Church. Homeschooling families with children of all ages, families who are discerning to homeschool their children, and young families are all welcome! Mass will be celebrated on first Wednesdays at 10 a.m. in the Church followed by a bring your own lunch social in the St. Ursula school building. See flyer here. 

Diocesan Blood Drive in Honor of St. Januarius, Until Dec. 16th

A total of 345 units of lifesaving blood has been donated under the Diocesan Blood Drive!

This initiative will help alleviate the national blood shortage, serving accident, trauma, and burn victims, as well as premature babies and cancer patients. The drive also celebrates St. Januarius, patron saint of blood banks and blood donors. Donors will receive a St. Januarius medallion blessed by Bishop Schlert. Better Together Widow and Widower Social Group

Better Together Widow and Widower Social Group, a community that allows widows and widowers to connect with others in the same circumstance, meets monthly at Assumption Church, 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike, Bethlehem, PA. Some past meetings include a picnic in the summer, a sing-along/make your own sundaes, and an All Souls remembrance service. The next meeting will be on December 11th at 1pm. Women's Advent Retreat

The Bishop's Commission for Women invites all women of the Diocese to a peaceful morning of community, prayer, and reflection this Advent season. Join us on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Allentown from 9:00am - 1:00pm. 

In honor of the Jubilee Year of Hope, our keynote speaker, Fr. John Frink, will offer a talk on how to find hope through the practice of prayer. Bishop Alfred Schlert will celebrate Mass, and a continental breakfast will be provided. Registration is open until Tuesday, November 26, 2024. Wreaths Across America Ceremony

The annual Wreaths Across America ceremony will take place on Saturday, December 14th @ 12 noon at Resurrection Cemetery, 547 North Krocks Rd, Allentown, PA 18106. Wreaths Across America is a nationwide event that honors veterans buried across the country, including Arlington National Cemetery. The mission of Wreaths Across America is to Remember the fallen; Honor those who serve; and Teach the next generation the value of freedom. We have several hundred volunteers that lays wreaths on the graves of 1700 veterans buried at Resurrection. Consider sponsoring a wreath or volunteering. The Catholic War Veterans & Auxiliary, Post 454 will be having Remembrance wreath ceremonies on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the following two locations:10:00am at Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Pearl St, Northampton, PA11:00am at Assumption BVM Cemetery, 3163 Cherryville Rd, Northampton, PA.

Date Night at Folino Estate for Engaged and Married Couples

On Friday, January 24, 2025, from 6:00pm-9:00pm, Catholic engaged and married couples are invited to an evening of romance and reflection at Folino Estate Winery in Kutztown, PA. The evening includes a cocktail hour, optional couples' portraits, dinner buffet, guest speakers, live music, and wine bottle favors. Tickets are $100 per couple. Space is limited to 25 couples, so reserve your spot today!

Pilgrimage from Paris to Lourdes

Join Holy Family Parish of Minersville in a Pilgrimage from Paris to Lourdes, France, April 27 - May 6, 2025. Highlights include Mass every day, the newly reopened Notre Dame Cathedral of Paris, tours of the Louvre, Versailles and dinner in the Eiffel Tower. We will also visit the Mother House of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Lyon and the Papal Palace of Avignon with a wine tasting at the Papal Vineyards of Châteauneuf du Pape. The tour culminates with our visit to the grotto of Lourdes where the Blessed Mother visited St. Bernadette as we celebrate Mass and participate in the Eucharistic and Candle Lit Marian Processions.

Pilgrimage to the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception

The Diocesan Pilgrimage to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., will be on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. The Diocesan Pilgrimage tradition to Mary’s House is typically held every four years. More information will be forthcoming for individuals, parishes, and schools.
